POINT INCREASE GUARANTEE!!
Our one-on-one SAT preparation program provides an individualized study program created for each student based on results from a full-length diagnostic test, score aspirations/caliber of desired college, and the student's available time to devote to SAT preparation.
Each student will work with 2 instructors-- one who specializes in reading/writing and another who specializes in math (and science for the ACT). Our instructors teach a mixture of content knowledge (e.g. Geometry review, vocabulary building, reading for meaning quickly) and an insider understanding of how to "beat" the test (e.g. which questions to skip, how the test is scored).
In order to master the application of the skills learned during study sessions, we provide several full-length practice tests.
**Crucial to test success is to take repeated practice tests. It gives you a chance to apply what you are learning in prep, to simulate actual test taking, and to build test-taking stamina. It's one of the most effective ways to reduce test anxiety, to improve time management during tests, and to become a stronger standardized test taker. These are skills that will serve you well throughout high school and college as well.
Plan on taking a practice test at least once every three weeks. If not, take a condensed version every two weeks.
As part of our regular practice test schedule for the 2009-2010 school year, practice tests will be given every Wednesday evening 5:00-9:00pm and the third Saturday of each month. In October, the Saturday test date will be held the first Saturday rather than the third to accommodate fall SAT /ACT/PSAT students.
As always if a student needs alternatives to the above schedule please call us and we will try to accommodate as needed.
REMINDER-- please bring your test book, calculator, snacks and a drink.
